§ About The Founder
The International
Airline Academy was founded in 2005 by Mrs. C. H-Griffith, and officially
opened in January 2007. After successfully completing regional and
international examinations, as well as receiving a customer service award, to
date she has devoted over twenty-eight years of service to the airline
industry. She sees the need to have an institution such as this to give others
the opportunity of being better prepared to enter the industry.
§ A Personal Note From The Founder
Too many times I
have seen people enter this industry at a total lost, but you are about to
enter a whole new experience that will guide you in the right direction to an
exciting career.
Before joining the airlines I took a similar course, which helped me
tremendously by giving me a better understanding of what to expect on the job
and the knowledge to accomplish my achievements. Foreknowledge allows you to
skip certain areas and concentrate on new course material on the job. This
course will give you the advantage during your on the job training.
At I.A.A. courses will be conducted in a relaxed atmosphere. Students will be
able to interact with the instructor and be given the opportunity to ask
questions, and receive personal attention in any area they deem weak.
§ About The Academy
The Academy is
located in Barbados in the tranquil parish of Christ Church bordering The
parish of St. Michael where there is easy access to public transportation. It
is approximately 15min. from the airport and the same distance from the
capital, Bridgetown. The Academy offers a basic training course in all aspects
of Airline Passenger Service functions and procedures in its traffic
department. Students will gain a wealth of knowledge that will give them an
advantage when entering this industry.
